Michael Browne
Ph.D., Licensed Psychologist
I bring 45 years of experience as a therapist to my practice. I have frequently been a therapist for other therapists. I have also served as a supervisor and consultant for other therapists. I was the cofounder of two advanced training programs for therapists. For over 25 years, I held a part time faculty position at the University of Minnesota, where I taught psychotherapy skills to psychiatry residents.
My Approach...
I am currently accepting new clients. I work in St. Paul. However, at this time I am only meeting with patients virtually. I began working with clients virtually due to COVID, and I discovered that for most clients it works well. I offer a free 30-minute meeting for new clients to ask questions, and see if I am a good fit, and try out working virtually.
Payment
I am in network for Blue Cross and Cigna. My office can check your insurance benefits for you.
$175 per 50-minute sessions
My approach to therapy is interactive, rather than passively listening. My goal is to flexibility provide my clients they kind of help they need. I want to assist my clients in achieving lasting change. This includes healing, relief from pain, and personal growth. I work with clients with a wide variety of problems. I have special expertise in relationship issues, self esteem, recovery from trauma, depression, obsessive compulsive problems, and anxiety.
I completed my training to become a doctoral level psychologist at Indiana University and the University of Virginia.
